MIT Ranked No. 7 among United States Top Colleges

U.S. News and World Report has positioned MIT seventh in its rundown of the United States' top colleges, which was declared today. This is the fourth year in succession that the Institute has involved this spot in the magazine's yearly rankings of the country's best schools and colleges.

In the general institutional rankings, U.S. News set Princeton University in the No. 1 spot, trailed by Harvard University. The University of Chicago and Yale University are tied for No. 3.
