Eligibility And Selection Criteria:
This scholarship is open to commencing International postgraduate and undergraduate students with outstanding academic merit of at least an average result of 80% in prior studies.

Ø  Applicants must not be an Australian permanent resident citizen or New Zealand citizen;
Ø  Applicants must have an offer for a place in an undergraduate, postgraduate or PhD program at ACU;
Ø  Applicants must attend the relevant ACU campus as a full-time student;
Ø  Applicants must not be receiving any other major scholarship or award
Ø  Applicants must not be attending ACU as a Study Abroad or Exchange student.

Scholarship Value And Duration:
Scholarships are offered annually to up to 20 undergraduate and postgraduate students equivalent to one-half of the full-time fees for the recipient's course of study. 
 Up to two Higher Degree by Research scholarships equivalent to the fees and stipend for recipients enrolling in a Masters by Research or Doctoral course of study will also be offered.

Igbinedion Varsity To Represent Africa At Global Contest In Dubai

IGBINEDION University Okada (IUO) has again qualified for the annual global Petro-Bowl Championship among tertiary institutions studying petroleum engineering in Africa.


Following its victory at the regional qualifier-level among 32 African universities that took part in the competition, IUO will be represented by Ephenus Daniel, Adegbite Oluwagbemiro, Odey Micheal Ekpali Adedigba Victor Timileyin and Lamido Khamis in the competition, which is scheduled to hold October 2016 at Dubai.

Owing to its past success, the society of petroleum Engineers, Igbinedion University chapter was part of the top 36 universities in the world championship held last year at the society’s conference and exhibition House at Taxas.

Important Information to all Bowen University Returning Students

Returning students are to resume for the 2016/2017 academic session on wednesday 21st september, 2016.
All returning students are to:
A. Report at the bursary department to pay the prescribed fees (for details on payment please check the university website)
the fees to be paid include:

i. School fees
ii. Ict skill acquisition fees
iii. Bbsf dues
iv. Bupaf dues
v. Jamb regularisation fees ( only for candidates who did not choose bowen as their prefered choice in jamb)
B. Proceed to hostel for room allocation
C. Report at the faculty office to obtain pin for online registration upon presentation of the following (original to be sighted and photocopy to be submitted):
I. Receipt of payment of the required fees
ii. Duly signed clearance slip from bursary
iii. Evidence of allocation of room from student affairs
D. Proceed to the i. D card centre, faculty of social and management sciences for collection of identity cards upon
presentation of bursary clearance and evidence of room allocation.

ASUU To begin strike 2nd of October

The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) said the union will commence on a warning strike which will last for a week, if the Federal Government fails to honor its agreement.


The union said they have tried to dialogue with the Federal Government, but the Federal Government have been playing  games with them.

They added that, they will begin a warning strike on 2ndof October to show the Federal Government that they are not jokers.

Eligibility:
·         Applications are accepted from talented candidates from Imperial College London, the UK and worldwide. There are no restrictions on nationality. 
·         Candidates must be among the highest achievers in their undergraduate cohort, and in receipt of, or due to receive a first class UK degree or equivalent. 
·         Candidates with Master’s qualifications should have achieved a distinction or, where this has yet to have been achieved, be able to provide evidence of high performance that will lead to a distinction. They should also hold a first class UK undergraduate degree or equivalent. 
·         Candidates with degrees from overseas institutions are strongly urged to determine if their scores/grades are equivalent to the relevant eligibility criteria

MBA Scholarships to study in Curtin University, Australia

Applicants must meet ALL of the following criteria to be eligible to apply for a MBA (Global) Scholarship:
·         Receive an offer of place into the MBA (Global) in Semester 1, 2017
·         Completed an undergraduate degree with distinction or equivalent
·         Not to be in receipt of any other Curtin funded scholarships
·         Not to be in receipt of any other sponsorship

Scholarship Value And Duration:
This scholarship will provide the following support for the expected duration of the MBA (Global) for up to a maximum of 2 years (based on a full-time load of 100 credits per semester):
50% of the student tuition fees* of the MBA (Global) each semester
*The fee component of the scholarship will be paid directly to the student fee account in two instalments per year to be paid prior to the census date relevant to each enrolled semester.
