Eligibility:
Applicants must be NZ citizens or permanent residents 
•        Applicants must be full-time students who have been accepted to commence an undergraduate degree programme, in the year following application, in the School of Hospitality and Tourism: Bachelor of International Hospitality Management, Bachelor of International Tourism Management, Bachelor of Arts (Event Management) or Bachelor of Arts (Culinary Arts) 
•        The scholarship is awarded on the basis of academic excellence and leadership qualities 
•        Applicants must meet the eligibility criteria and apply for any of AUT’s main undergraduate scholarships

Scholarship Duration:
The first year of study in the degree programme only.

Scholarship Value:
Covers full tuition and learner services levy fee for full-time study

Method Of Application:
Application will be through the online scholarship application portal. Applicants for this scholarship must complete the application for AUT Vice Chancellor’s Significant Student Scholarship OR the AUT New Horizons Scholarship OR the AUT Kiwa Scholarship for Maori and Pacific Students and indicate in the appropriate text box within the portal that they also wish to be considered for the Academic Excellence Scholarship (Hospitality and Tourism).

Global Challenge Scholarship To Study At Lincoln University, New Zealand

Scholarship Description:
As an International Global Challenges Scholar, you will take part in a development programme designed to enhance your social entrepreneurship skills through design, problem-solving, co-operative work, thorough research and critical thinking.

You will work in groups to develop social entrepreneurship models with the assistance of mentors who will help you to turn your ideas into action. You will learn by working with issues within your own communities, where you have the power to create global change and positive impact.

You’ll also liaise with Lincoln University staff and alumni, who will use their areas of expertise to help you to address specific issues.

Eligibility:
To be eligible for a Global Challenges Scholarship as an international student, you must:

• Be eligible to enrol in an undergraduate degree at Lincoln
• Have completed secondary school in the past five years, achieved well academically and not attended another tertiary institution in New Zealand (if you have completed a diploma, undergraduate or postgraduate degree at other international institutions, you are not eligible for this scholarship)
• Have a strong academic background that demonstrates your ability to undertake and complete a university degree while maintaining involvement in scholarship activities
• Have a very good grasp of English, with an overall score of 6 in IELTS (or similar qualification), as the scholarship development programme has a strong focus on communication and co-operative work.

Scholarship Duration:
The University will pay one year of your tuition fees and you can reapply to continue your scholarship for future years.

Scholarship Value:
$12,000 (NZD)

Method Of Application:
You can apply for a Global Challenges Scholarship through the application system, MyLinc, when you apply to study at Lincoln University. You’ll need to create a  MyLinc account, apply for your chosen course of study and then apply for the scholarship.

You can change your course of study at any time, even after you have submitted your applications.

We will need the following information to process your Global Challenges Scholarship application:
• A short video outlining your interest in a current global issue, to be uploaded to Vimeo (instructions in  MyLinc)
• The details of two referees
•   Your acknowledgement that you agree to our terms and conditions, including the privacy policy.

Then you can save and submit your application. Please note that you are able to save your applications and return at any time before submitting them.
